call for data analysts &
code reviewers

ManyBabies projects offer many opportunities for data analysis contributions. We welcome contributions to data analysis at all levels, from basic code review/error checking to leadership on analysis teams. Expertise in the specific project topic is not required to contribute to data analysis. Working on one of the analysis teams is a great opportunity to become familiar with these large datasets that also provide opportunities for secondary data-anaysis and many-analysts type projects.

Please get in touch if you'd like to contribute to active analysis efforts!

speaking of code review...

... check out this great opportunity initiated by Lisa DeBruine to be involved in creating a "Beginners' Guide to Code Review" (which would be a great resource for ManyBabies!). All levels are welcome!

Tweet from @LisaDeBruine: "Code check survey! We've assembled a team of people interested in writing a beginners' guide to code review. But our experiences are likely to be biased, so we've put together an informal survey to find out what your experiences and needs are."
Tweet from @LisaDeBruine: "So if you have or will ever write research code, or have or will ever be in a position to review research code (as a collaborator, teacher, or reviewer/editor), consider filling out the survey to let us know what you do now and what barriers there are to doing more."
Tweet from @LisaDebruine: "And if you're interested in joining the team to help write the guide, have a look at the brainstorming document. We can use any level of experience, especially those with no experience with code check but a desire to start."

project updates

The teams involved in the coordination of MB2 in München (PI Tobias Schuwerk) and Göttingen (PI Hannes Rakoczy) have now officially started their projects funded by the German Science Foundation to support MB2. Lucie Zimmer (München) and Marina Proft and Gregor Kachel (Göttingen) are joining the team.
