The project was represented at two recent conferences. Judit Gervain gave a talk at the Biennial Meeting of the Society for fNIRS held between Oct 9-12, in Boston, USA and Xin Sun gave another talk at the Big Team Science Conference, Oct 27-28, which was held virtually.

MB4: Social Evaluation
We are looking for new contributors to collect data with us (16 babies between 5.5 and 10.5 months)! If you are interested, please check out our website and complete our sign up form.
We are excited to share that the pre-registration for our first spin off project, “Individual differences in infants’ social evaluations across cultures”, has been posted to OSF.
Yiyi Wang gave a MB4 presentation at the Big Team Science Conference, and Hilal Şen will be presenting MB4 at the upcoming BCCCD conference in Budapest Jan 5-7, 2023.

MB5: Hunter & Ames Model of Infant Looking Preference
A full draft of the Stage 1 Registered Report has been shared with project members. If you are contributing to the project, please read the draft and add comments by December 1. Also make sure you have reported contributions via the MB5 CRediT form to be included as an author!

MB6: Neonatal Imitation
We are excited to welcome Mark Nielsen and Rechele Brooks to the leadership team! The Project Leads are hard at work on initial plans.

We are currently working on hand-coding pilot data for both the Visual Preference and Looking-While-Listening studies. If anyone has expertise in experimental timing in Lookit, please contact us.

The team is officially finished with data collection and the pre-registered data analysis (yay!), and is currently working on manuscript writing and additional analyses.
