MB3: Rule Learning
πŸŽ‰ The final MB3 manuscipt is OUT NOW in Developmental Science! πŸŽ‰
screenshot of the Developmental Science publication, "ManyBabies3: A multi-lab study of infant algebraic rule learning
The highlights as published in the paper are:
Our study provides a large-scale (30 labs; 839 participants; 650 included in the main analysis), cross-linguistic, conceptual replication of the seminal study of Marcus et al. (1999).
A phonologically balanced and broadly interpretable set of stimuli was developed to assess the robustness of algebraic rule learning in infants from multiple language backgrounds.
Results indicate evidence for a null effect of consistent versus inconsistent trials, showing no evidence for rule-learning.
Robustness analyses indicated that our results are robust vis-Γ‘-vis a number of choices in pre-processing and analysis.
